The radio station I chose was 'BBC Radio 1 Xtra' this showed to be widly accessable to the nation. Ways of streaming was traditional' on FM aswell as DAB. The way I listened was through there website. This means the radio station is global.
Technological convergence is a term used to describe when multiple technology's are combined into one. This is often referred to as a black box. An example of a black box is a smart phone, a device that allows the user to access programmes that before its inception you had to have a dedicated device for it e.g. radio, Internet etc... before the smart phone you had to own a radio to listen to the radio, to access the Internet a computer was needed.
Viewership and listenership of both respective medias has been on the decline, the black box is most likely to be a main cause. Now you can access music whenever through platforms like Spotify and SoundCloud, these platforms allow you to listen to music whenever you want and in whatever order you want, radio is dyeing because of this.
